Everyone enjoys decorating pumpkins for Halloween, they come in so many cute shapes and sizes !  We even enjoy roasting pumpkin seeds once the holiday is over.

Here’s an easy recipe for Pumpkin Ice Cream that can be made in an ice cream machine.  You can make your own squash or pumpkin puree or use canned pumpkin as the base.

When entertaining this Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday, your festive table will be complete with this creamy sweet dessert flavored and flecked with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pumpkin Ice Cream Recipe

Pumpkin Ice Cream Recipe

Serve this tasty homemade Pumpkin Ice Cream recipe to your family and guests this fall and winter.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. heavy or whipping cream
  • 1 c. 2% milk
  • 1 c. unsweetened Libby's Pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. ground or freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs in mixing bowl until light and fluffy
  2. Whisk in sugar and continue until completely blended, about 1 minute
  3. Pour in cream and milk and whisk to blend.
  4. Pour about 1 cup of cream base into a different bowl.
  5. Add pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon
  6. Stir until blended
  7. Return pumpkin mixture to the rest of cream base and blend
  8. Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions
