I was so excited to find out I could buy hand crafted DIY decorated lighted wine bottles at my hair salon and day spa! My hair salon is located right next door to a package store in Connecticut. In New England, our Packys sell beer, alcohol and wine. You can’t buy wine in any of our grocery stores.

Wine Bottle Lights
Most women are very picky about choosing exactly the right hair color at a beauty salon, but recently, I was more excited about the prospect of choosing exactly the right decorated wine bottle lights.

Lighted Wine Bottles
The decorative wine bottles were displayed on a beautiful credenza, but would be equally at home as a table centerpiece in your dining room, living room or family room.

Besides wine bottles, there were lighted Vodka bottles, lighted Bourbon bottles and lighted Champagne bottles.  The owner explained that she and her sister-in-law started a DIY hand crafted decorative lighted wine bottle work-at-home business.  The stylist has a very nice catalog and can create any type of decorated lighted wine bottle for any occasion – such as wedding gifts, anniversary gifts, graduation gifts or birthday gifts.  I’m looking forward to seeing the magnificent Christmas craft lighted wine bottles.

I bought one for my oldest daughter for a Mother’s Day gift, and another one for my younger daughter that I’ll be giving to her for a Christmas gift.

I like to craft and sell my handcrafted crochet ribbon necklaces in my Etsy shop.  I’m certain you could find these lighted wine bottles on Etsy if you don’t want to try to make them yourself!

Although beautifully hand-crafted, they’re quite pricey as quite a bit of works goes into drilling the holes, stringing the lights, creating special labels, and then decorating with ribbon, bows, decorative fruits, etc. to compliment these unique and special centerpiece ideas.

One of the the chic decorative wine bottle lamps that I chose for my daughter is a cobalt blue antique wine bottle that the artisan picked up at a flea market.  She actually has several vintage wine bottles that command a higher price than the other wine bottles and decantors.

I had thought about trying to make these wine bottle lights myself, and found some how-to DIY Instructions on Pinterest.  I’m really not too handy with a drill and special glass drill bit, but perhaps you are so take a look-see at these instructions on how to upcycle and repurpose your old wine bottles:

Unique Gift Ideas

For any celebration or glorious moment in life, wine is essential to have. Parties and celebrations are thought of as being incomplete unless there is wine present, which makes it an ideal gift for virtually any occasion. Wine gift baskets or wine glasses and wine tasting guides are a great gift, they are very affordable, and perfect for nearly any occasion – such as birthdays, weddings, festivals, parties, or anniversaries.

These decorated wine bottle lamps would be a perfect gift for any bride, gift for mom, gift for grandmother or a gift for your sister!

Whether you choose to make a lighted wine bottle and DIY yourself or find one in a boutique shop while on vacation, they’re simply magnificent!  They’re a great reason to sample different types of wine and upcycle the wine bottles!
