As a new Connecticut Ambassador under the CTVISIT program, I’m excited to let you know about all of our charm, heritage, adventure, fun and incredible natural beauty. Agritourism – Farm Fun in Connecticut
There’s nothing like fresh-pressed cider, fall vegetables, apple fritters, donuts or Pandowdy, gorgeous mums, Autumn flowers and plants to take home! Who can resist the beautiful Autumn door wreaths and decorations!
You’ll also find apples, pumpkins, fresh fall produce and farm-fresh canned and bottled salad dressings such as vidalia onion, dijon honey, balsamic vinegar, farm-fresh honey, jellies, jams, pickled beets, dill garlic pickles, bakery fresh breads including banana nut, pumpkin, peach melba and orange cranberry nut. There’s assorted pies gallor! Some all-time old fashion pies are deep dish apple, dutch apple, apple peach, pumpkin, chocolate cream, peachberry, strawberry, rhubarb, apple caramel nut and lemon meringue.
The pick-your-own orchards are in full bloom with apples in fall and strawberries during spring!
